Augusta Street

Augusta Street (Rua Augusta) is the main street of Lisbon Downtown.

It is full of life and tourists all year. It never stops, except for Saturday afternoons and Sundays when it slows down a little because the shops are closed.

Here you can always find various street artists who show their work, playing music, drawing and painting or just being still like a statue.

Lisbon Augusta Street Artist. If you get hungry or thirsty you can stop in one of the restaurants or coffee shops. You can buy souvenirs or other articles in one of the street shops.

Explore the parallel and perpendicular streets, like the Gold Street (Rua do Ouro) and the Silver Street (Rua da Prata) and discover other fine street shops.

At the end of the street you will find one of the greatest Lisbon Monuments - the Lisbon Triumphal Arch.
